Revitalizing an underutilized downtown building should bring new energy to downtown Raymond
Heritage Bank has partnered with developer Okay! Home Solutions of Raymond to bring new life to the corner of Cofield Street and Spicer Avenue in Raymond. Heritage Bank has sold the building to developer Steve Bristle, but will remain as a tenant in the corner location with the existing east facing door.
Since 1912, the residents of Raymond have supported their local bank. “The Heritage Bank building is the cornerstone of downtown Raymond,” Kevin Crowley, Senior Vice President, said. “We take pride in being part of the Raymond business community; however, our building has greater potential to the community.”
In recent years, the business of banking has changed dramatically. “The trend is for more self-service banking,” Ross Magnuson, Heritage Bank Market President said. “Online and mobile banking features are expanding so people can take care of bank transactions from anywhere. Our lenders find that going to our customer’s place of business helps to build stronger relationships.”
Okay! Home Solutions was referred to Heritage Bank for its reputation of quality workmanship and passion for community development. “We are not in the property development business- we are a bank,” Magnuson said. “Much of our building has been underutilized and we wanted a developer like Mr. Bristle to help revitalize downtown Raymond.”
“My company has a vision for downtown housing and additional office space,” Bristle said. “These added amenities will be an economic positive for the whole community.”
Heritage Bank N.A. services over $600 million of loans with clients spread throughout central and southern Minnesota, northwestern Iowa, and eastern South Dakota. “We have developed lifelong relationships with farmers and other residents of the Raymond area,” Magnuson said. “We look forward to continuing our existing relationships and growing more.”
