[WILLMAR, MN] – Heritage Bank, N.A, a multi-state community bank with offices in central Minnesota and northwestern Iowa, announces Ross Magnuson will become Minnesota’s new Market President, succeeding Wayne Nelson. Nelson is retiring in December after 18 years with Heritage Bank.
Magnuson is a veteran banker with 31 years in financial services. As a Business Banking Relationship Manager, Magnuson is a strong community advocate and understands the dynamics of community banking. As Market President, he will oversee the day-to-day banking operations in Willmar, Spicer, Raymond and Pennock. “Ross has developed relationships with many business owners in our market area,” Nelson states. “He is a team player and helps to create a seamless experience for our business banking clients. I am very pleased he will be leading Heritage Bank and am confident in his ability to uphold our tradition of service.”

A long-time resident of the Willmar area, Magnuson and his wife, Kelly, have three children. He serves as the Chair of the City of Willmar Zoning Appeals Board, sits on his church council, and has been on the board of the United Way of West Central Minnesota.
